BOOKING/CANCELLATION POLICY
- The best time to talk to Steve (because he is a farmer) is between 12-1 daily or after 6pm. P:66472145
- Deposit of 50% is required for all accommodation and camping within 7 days to secure the booking
- A full refund less handling fee for cancellations within 30 days of the booking
- Less than 14 days will incur a penalty of a 100% of the booking. Unless alternative booking obtained (less handling fee)
General Information:
- There is no access during wet weather to camp sites or Gorge View Lodge
- All three camp sites are 4WD access only
- All 4WD must have reasonable clearance
- Vehicle tyres must be in good condition
- When towing a trailer, small 4WD vehicle will have difficulty-towing uphill
- Only off road camper trailers or heavy duty trailers with high clearance are suitable for campsites
- Maximum weight is 1 ton
- River experience is suitable for kayaks and canoes only (no outboard motors)
- There are only long drop toilets at each camp site, no other facilities
- Open fires are allowed except during a total fire ban
- There is plenty of firewood that you can collect
- When entering property call at back garden gate (reception) of homestead for directions and key
- Top Gorge and Back Channel campsite takes up to 3 vehicles
- Riverview Campsite takes up to 14 vehicles
- Bring your own drinking water or bring a facility to boil river water for drinking when camping
- If for some reason we are not able to meet you on arrival a key and map will be left in a letterbox at the reception gate
- Dogs are allowed on the property as long as they are strictly supervised and not allowed to wander due to baits in the area
- Strictly no motorbikes or guns of any size allowed on property
- Leave plenty of time to access campsite as tracks close an hour before dusk for safety reasons
- Book in advance as a one group at a time rule applies
- There is no mobile reception and very limited GPS reception
- Make sure you have a full tank of petrol when leaving Copmanhurst
- Make sure you have a printed map when you leave your destination for Wave Hill Station
- Camping and accommodation arrivals before 10am and or departures after 2pm attract a half day tariff
- No meals available
- We cannot supply or sell alcohol, please BYO
- We offer only catch and release fishing
- If you happen to catch a Clarence Eastern Cod while Bass fishing on our farm you must release it as there is a $20,000 fine for not doing so.
