DINGO DAM COTTAGE

classic 1800's style cottage for up to 6 people

OVERVIEW OF DINGO DAM COTTAGE

If you like the romance, look, smell and feel of yesteryear, this three-bedroom original timber cottage captures that pioneer spirit. This is the original dwelling on Wave Hill Station.

Dingo Dam Cottage offers late 1800s style living with a claw footbath, potbelly stove, period furniture, rustic timber walls and floors.

This is an authentic pioneer experience with candles, ceramic washstands, cast irons beds, outdoor bathroom and toilet with a gas stove and fridge.

Hot water is available using the ‘donkey system’ where a slow fire burns beneath a water-filled 44-gallon drum.

Regular friendly visitors to your front and back door include horses, cattle and occasionally the farm dogs. There is also a private jetty for fishing and swimming in the dam.

Dingo Dam Cottage sleeps 6 with 2 double beds and two single beds and is accessible by 2WD.
